Julien Moren

Julien Moren works through an intuitive relationship with colour and with the kind of everyday moments that appear without seeking attention: a table, freshly arranged flowers, a walking figure, light resting on a wall late in the afternoon. His work moves between reduced compositions and simple scenes that feel as though they emerged from an open sketchbook in the studio.

Over the years, his practice has remained tied to slow observation and simplification without losing warmth. Even in his most abstract pieces, colour keeps an emotional dimension, as if each image held an atmosphere before becoming a precise representation.
